The executive summary
Learn about the executive summary and what you can use it for.

The executive summary is a matrix-style overview of your business' adverse impacts for each bottom line and can be accessed from the left-side menu pane in the unit folder.

The overview is generated based on finalized assessments and is color-coded to show the risk level for each area of the bottom line. Any area marked in green means no risk is identified, yellow indicates that merely potential risks have been identified, whereas the blue-grey color indicates that actual impact(s) have been identified. A red dot indicates that severe potential or adverse impacts have been identified.

Above the matrix is a mention of how many impacts have been identified in total and the total number of areas affected. Note that these numbers may differ as you can identify more than one adverse impact in the same area. Finally, the number of severe impacts is mentioned.

Below the matrix there is a list of all severe/significant impacts identified. Note that for the social bottom line, both severe and non-severe impacts must be identified. In contrast, on the environmental and economic bottom lines only significant impacts should be identified. Therefore, the social bottom line list has a toggle allowing you to show all identified impacts if desired, and not only the severe ones listed by default.

The list only shows the area (human rights), the impact type, description, actions, and indicators of effectiveness of your actions to prevent or mitigate the adverse impact.

The summary fulfils the reporting requirements for annual sustainability reports, and both the matrix and the list can be generated as PDFs using the options in the left-side menu pane of the executive summary.
